Hybridoma Recloning
Antibody production from established hybridoma cell lines can diminish over time due to a decrease in the number of cells that secrete antibody. In many cases, antibody production can be rescued by recloning the hybridoma cell line. Antibody-positive clones are isolated. The clone that exhibits the best growth characteristics and produces the highest antibody titer is expanded and frozen (10 vials). Antibody isotype is also determined. The cost is $350(USD)/cell line.
