Monoclonal Antibody Production

Hybridoma and recombinant cell lines producing monoclonal antibodies are expanded in our Biosafety Level 2 cell culture laboratories. Production runs are routinely between 1L and 100L. Cells are expanded using:

• Roller Bottles
• Spinner Flasks
• Wave and Stirred Tank Bioreactors

Monoclonal antibodies can be produced in cultures using one of the following media/serum conditions:

• Medium with fetal bovine serum
• Medium with Low IgG fetal bovine serum
• Serum free media

Processing/Purification of Monoclonal Antibodies

Cells are removed from the IgG antibody rich media. The media is then filtered, concentrated and the antibody is affinity purified using protein A, G, AG or L resins.
